The Intern will create the SharePoint Intranet for the Urology Austin employees. This person is a self-starter and motivator. This person works with departments to design and create a comprehensive SharePoint intranet to provide resources and information for UA employees. It is required for this person to be proficient in Microsoft 365 software – specifically SharePoint and Teams, and written and verbal communications. This person will build a robust Intranet that is easy to navigate and update when internship is complete.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

  • Required to be extremely proficient in Microsoft 365 software – specifically SharePoint and Teams 
  • Currently studying Computer Science, Information Technology Management, Information Systems, Business or related degree fields preferred.
  • High-speed internet connection and a workspace ideal for participation in virtual meetings.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to details.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality within the company.
  • Extensive knowledge of office administration, clerical procedures, and recordkeeping systems.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Creation, customization and editing of SharePoint pages and site content, including supporting the rollout of document management and collaboration sites.
  • Assist with testing, bug tracking, task management, reporting and troubleshooting on SharePoint and custom application development projects
  • Collaborate with various company stakeholders to define requirements, analyze current as-is state and determine site needs
  • Work with stakeholders to understand content needs and requirements
  • Lead the design, organization, and implementation of various communities on the site
  • Manage and track the status of the project
  • Provide clear and effective communication to align stakeholders
  • All other duties as assigned.
